T.Raumschmiere was the first of all that I have asked for my double star album.
Obvious - he mixed my last album „Sweet Silence“ and we see each other often.
Said and done – we set up a studio date. On our mixing session for „Sweet Silence“ I tried to imagine how a song by T.Raumschmiere and me would sound like.. I thought of a noize hymn, but we finally did a delicate piece of popmusic, whith a slight darkness and ambiguity, very beautiful.
Plus: I could make (not force!) him sing with me in a duet - wonderful.
At the end of the “Doppelstern” marathon he took over the tricky task of mixing the album - not insignificant, because the variety of the tracks made it quite hard to glue them all together.
Also, I never was so not-finished when I started the final mix. I still did some recordings in his studio (e.g. Harmonium an “Den kommenden Morgen”) while Marco did the mix of a different. track. Not to mention the fact that I edited the tracks like crazy until the very end.
